My Review
This is the last book of the King of Shadows trilogy. Hades and Persephone characters grew very much through the story. This story started as a ‘hunter/prey’ relationship and now they are completely connected to one another. They learned to cherish and trust each other.
I really enjoyed Persephone’s growth. She started as an innocent and shy young woman and ended up a confident and brave queen.
It was very good to see more into Hades’ past and understand his character a bit more.
These series didn’t sweep me off my feet, I didn’t fall completely in love with them but it was an engaging series to read.
Quotes
“I’m tempted to punish this last naivité out of her, but it’s such a precious resource and nearly gone.”
“I will give her anything in the world except the guarantee I’ll be alive as long as she wants me to be.”
