“I want all your summers, Persephone. Every fall and winter and spring until you don’t have any more left to give.”
Revenge is a dangerous game, but I played it for Persephone. Now we’re locked in battle with a lethal enemy. I own her body and I’ll win her heart. But with enemies at the gate and my fortress under attack, there’s something more at stake—our lives.

This is the last book of the King of Shadows trilogy. Hades and Persephone characters grew very much through the story. This story started as a ‘hunter/prey’ relationship and now they are completely connected to one another. They learned to cherish and trust each other.
I really enjoyed Persephone’s growth. She started as an innocent and shy young woman and ended up a confident and brave queen.
It was very good to see more into Hades’ past and understand his character a bit more.
These series didn’t sweep me off my feet, I didn’t fall completely in love with them but it was an engaging series to read.
“I’m tempted to punish this last naivité out of her, but it’s such a precious resource and nearly gone.”
“I will give her anything in the world except the guarantee I’ll be alive as long as she wants me to be.”
