Plot Summary

Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA.

My Review

Icebreaker was everywhere on bookstagram. It was the book of the moment and so I had to read it.

It’s a beautiful mix of slow-burn romance and banter while showing the sweet and funny side characters well enough for me to love them. Anastasia is a sassy and strong female character while also being insecure. She was a very complex character and it was lovely to see her grow through the story. Nathan is that typical cocky sports player but deep down has a kind heart. Their banter was amazing and their chemistry was out of this world.

I also loved Nathan’s teammates. Their scenes with each other were very funny and I’m so curious to see more of them. Since I always had a thing for the quiet, brooding but strong and loyal character, my favourite side character is definitely my sweet baby Henry! I don’t know who I’ll become when I read it so apologies in advance!

I felt a great connection to the characters and the story. It was that type of book that messed with my sleeping schedule but it was totally worth it!

The amount of spicy scenes is well balanced with the rest of the story. Usually I grow tired quickly of too many romantic scenes but in this book, the author did an amazing job inserting them throughout the story.

While reading this story I found myself laughing out loud and running to my husband to tell him about some scenes so this book is a big YES for me. I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read the second book now…and it’s still so far away…

A Minha Opinião:

Icebreaker estava em todo o lado no bookstagram. Era o livro do momento e por isso tive de o ler.

É uma bela mistura de romance lento e brincadeiras, enquanto mostra os personagens secundários doces e engraçados o suficiente para que eu os adore. Anastasia é uma personagem feminina atrevida e forte, mas também insegura. Ela é uma personagem muito complexa e foi adorável vê-la crescer ao longo da história. Nathan é o típico desportista convencido, mas que no fundo tem um coração bondoso. As brincadeiras entre os dois eram fantásticas e a sua química era de outro mundo.

Também adorei os colegas de equipa do Nathan. As cenas entre eles foram muito engraçadas e estou muito curiosa para ver mais sobre eles. Como sempre tive um fraquinho por personagens calmas e taciturnas, mas fortes e leais, a minha personagem secundária preferida é, sem dúvida, o meu querido Henry! Não sei no que me vou tornar quando ler o livro dele, por isso peço desculpa desde já!

Senti uma grande ligação com as personagens e com a história. Foi o tipo de livro que mexeu com o meu horário de sono, mas valeu a pena sem sombra de dúvida!

A quantidade de cenas picantes está bem equilibrada com o resto da história. Normalmente, canso-me rapidamente de demasiadas cenas românticas mas, neste livro, a autora fez um trabalho fantástico ao inseri-las ao longo da história.

Enquanto lia esta história, dei por mim a rir em voz alta e a correr para o meu marido para lhe contar algumas cenas, por isso este livro é um grande SIM para mim. Recomendo-o vivamente. Mal posso esperar para ler o segundo livro… e ainda está tão longe…
