Plot Summary

Cilla

The Beast had Belle.

Killian Black has me.

My Review

This story was free on Audible so I took my chances. The narration was very good. Christian Fox (male narrator) had a deep and sexy voice and Kate Genevieve (female narrator) was feminine and yet not whiny like many other narrators.

It tells the story of Killian, a criminal who owns a club to launder his money. He has a dark past due to his sister’s death. He wants control and does everything in his power to have it.

Cilla does everything for her brother who is struggling through life with debts and addiction. When his life is threatened by Killian, to whom he owes money, Cilla doesn’t hesitate to offer herself to solve that debt. Little does she know how much captivated by Killian she will eventually get.

It’s the typical dark romance that, despite being so similar to all the others, keeps me interested enough. Perhaps I’ll listen to/ read the other books in these series someday.

A Minha Opinião

Esta história estava disponível gratuitamente no Audible, por isso arrisquei. A narração foi muito boa. Christian Fox (narrador masculino) tinha uma voz profunda e sexy e Kate Genevieve (narradora feminina) tinha uma voz feminina, mas não chorona como muitas outras narradoras.

O livro conta a história de Killian, um criminoso que possui uma discoteca para lavar o seu dinheiro. Tem um passado negro devido à morte da sua irmã. Quer o controlo e faz tudo o que está ao seu alcance para o ter.

Cilla faz tudo pelo seu irmão, que está a lutar pela vida com dívidas e vícios. Quando a vida do seu irmão Jones é ameaçada por Killian, a quem deve dinheiro, Cilla não hesita em oferecer-se para saldar essa dívida. Mal sabe ela o quanto acabará por ficar cativada por Killian.

É o típico romance obscuro que, apesar de ser tão semelhante a todos os outros, me mantém suficientemente interessada. Talvez um dia venha a ouvir/ler os outros livros desta série.
